Finally the Irish government decided to open to International Travel. What a great news for the study travel industry. Travelling to Ireland is now permitted for non-essential reasons from 19 July.

All EU countries are to be removed from the mandatory hotel quarantine list, in order to facilitate the introduction of the Digital Green Certificate in Ireland from July 19th 2021.

This will allow those who are 1) fully vaccinated 2) have produced a negative Covid test result from the previous 72 hours, or 3) who have fully recovered from Covid to travel in the EU. No more quarantine from this date onwards.

This decision will facilitate a return to international travel and the recovery of the aviation and study travel sectors.

The EU Digital Covid Certificates (DCC) will show if a passenger is vaccinated, if they recovered from Covid-19 in the past nine months, and if they had a negative test result taken 72 hours before arrival.
